About the Role
This is a multidisciplinary role at the intersection of operations and AI-powered automation. Your job is simple in concept: make the life of every engineer on the team 10x easier.
You'll own a broad surface area across the company — from supply chain and vendor management to recruiting pipelines, partner negotiations, and day-to-day operations. What makes this role different is that you won't just run these processes manually — you'll use AI tools and agentic workflows to automate, streamline, and scale them far beyond what a traditional ops role could handle.
This is ideal for someone who is hungry, resourceful, and excited to learn on the job. You don't need to be a software engineer, but you should be a power user of AI tools and comfortable vibe-coding lightweight automations to solve real problems.
What You'll Do
- Manage and optimize the supply chain for hardware components, PCBs, and electronics — sourcing vendors, tracking orders, negotiating pricing.
- Build and maintain recruiting and candidate tracking pipelines, automating sourcing, outreach, and scheduling using AI agents and no-code/low-code tools.
- Handle partner communications, deal negotiations, and relationship management across vendors, universities, and collaborators.
- Automate repetitive operational workflows using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Zapier, Make, custom scripts) so the engineering team can focus on building.
- Own office operations, procurement, and logistics — making sure the team has what they need, when they need it.
- Set up and manage project tracking, documentation, and internal tooling to keep the team organized and moving fast.
- Identify bottlenecks across the company and proactively build solutions — whether that's a quick automation, a new process, or a vendor switch.
What We're Looking For
- 2-3 years of experience after school in operations management, office management, or a similar coordination-heavy role at a company or startup.
- Heavy daily user of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Copilot, etc.) — you already use AI to get more done and are always looking for new ways to apply it.
- Basic ability to vibe-code: you can prompt your way through building simple automations, scripts, or agentic workflows even if you're not a traditional developer.
- Strong organizational skills — you can juggle multiple workstreams, keep track of details, and follow through without things falling through the cracks.
- Excellent communication skills for vendor negotiations, partner conversations, and cross-team coordination.
- Hungry, self-directed, and willing to figure things out. You don't wait to be told what to do — you see what needs doing and go do it.
- Comfortable in a fast-moving startup environment where your role will evolve as the company grows.
Bonus (Not Required)
- Experience with no-code/low-code automation platforms (Zapier, Make, n8n, Retool).
- Familiarity with hardware supply chain or electronics procurement.
- Experience setting up CRMs, ATS systems, or project management tools (Notion, Linear, Airtable).
- Background in a technical field or comfort reading technical documentation.
How to Apply
We're looking for someone who can wear many hats and use AI as a force multiplier to keep a fast-moving robotics team running at full speed.
